To celebrate Ed's Birthday, we headed out to La Habra to have breakfast at Arthur's Coffee Shop. Ed picked it as a place he used to frequent years ago. It is one of those nostalgic 50's type coffee shops that you might find on Diners-Drive Ins-or Dives or along historic Route 66. It was a kick going there -in a little strip mall off the beat'n path! The diner is filled with old 33 -1/3 record album covers plastered on the walls, vintage coffee mugs and other fabulous old-time decorations. The breakfast entrees were just good-old down-to-earth mid-America cuisine that we all enjoyed. Enjoy the pictures from the album. This also marks the day that Ruby decided that Papaw was not a bad thing and didn't scream or cry when Papaw held her ... in fact she really had a good time. Great break-through day!
