2011 - December 15th & 16th - Celebrating Mary Anne's VA Retirement after 31 years

After a 31 year career working for the Department of Veteran's Affairs, Mary Anne has achieved retirement status. December 23rd is her last day of work. Many of her colleagues gathered on December 15th at El Torito to share special moments and show their appreciation for her work and friendship over the years. On December 16th, her office staff held a wonderful retirement luncheon at the VISN 22 office on Ocean Boulevard to wish her happy days ahead and some reflective stories. Both were honorable times of tribute with terrific people. There are countless Veterans that Mary Anne has interacted with, assisted them on their journey, and given care and concern over the years who will always be grateful. I am sure that if those Vets knew about this celebration, no facility would have been large enough for all that would have shown up to bid Mary Anne a fond farwell and a job well done!
