2012 - August 5th - Orange County Fair

It's Orange County Fair time again! What can anyone say ... animal barns, commercial buildings, exhibits of crafts, collections, art, etc., midway, rides, and food, food, food!!! What is a fair without deep-fried foods? Deep fried Oreo's, Twinkies, White Castles, Kool-Aid, you name it, they can deep-fry it! We were better than most I imagine passing up the deep fried stuff. Then added to all of that is bacon , bacon, bacon ... bacon wrapped turkey legs, chocolate covered bacon, deep fried bacon sandwiches, beer battered bacon and more. The theme was Home Sweet Home and the whole Fair really showed it. They displayed an iron beam from the North Tower in New York which brought Home to heart. Tower Two, New York 9/11 Beam:

Larry's one indulgence at the Fair is always Australian Batter Fried Potatoes ... yes, deep fried !!!
