Week two of summer vacation with the grandkids brought Mikayla, Ethan, and Ella in for four days for some memory making experiences .... movies, the Disney Store outlet, local parks, Griffith Park and the Observatory, the mall, and the Medieval Times dinner show. What a great time had by all!
We traveled up to LA and Griffith park to go to the Observatory for a great time of learning and simply having fun!
We saw a lot of interesting things and learned some stuff too at the Griffith Observatory.
See the Hollywood sign on the hillside?
Sundial reading!
Learning!!!
Looks a little like Back to the Future or the Sorcerer's Apprentice!!
Waiting in the planetarium for the dome show of the stars to begin:
Hang'in out with Einstein ...
We just happened to be there when the satellite circling Saturn was taking a picture from there of our exact location back to the Saturn surface. We all went on the lawn to wave and become part of history ...
Our next day was at Medieval Times dinner and show where we had a fantastic entertaining time! Dinner was baby dragon (chicken), a rib, and a Medieval potato fry (baked half potato) plus more! We cheered on our Black and White Knight, but lost the battle! A real action packed-fun two hours!
At the Disney outlet, Papaw let his hair down while Ella sported a Pirate's hat ...
Had a great time at the park with Grandma!
And finished the days at Shepard's Grove Church ...
