2013 - September 25th - Michigan lost pennisula & September 26th - the Hamilton High Girls

We stayed the night in Toledo on the 25th after our drive from the Upper Peninsula. This afforded the opportunity to go to Erie Michigan, the lost peninsula of Michigan for dinner at one of my childhood favorites, Webber's; we always said it was Point Place, OH, but it's really Erie, MI! There is a marker showing the boarder of Ohio & Michigan from the "Michigan-Toledo war" ... all these years I thought the marker was on the other end of Webber's! For those not in Ohio, the only access to this peninsula is through Toledo ... these residents must get their power, water, police, fire, etc. from the OHIO services! Anyway, the Lake Erie Perch were delicious and the Lake Erie view fantastic. 

 

The next morning we headed to Columbus where Mary Anne had lunch with three long-time girlfriend from High School. They had a terrific gab session and catch-up time!
