2014 - June 10th & 11th - Temecula CA with Ethan & Jordan Graduations, Evan's Birthday & Old Town

We spent two nights in Temecula so that we could attend both Ethan's 5th grade graduation on Tuesday and Jordan's 8th grade graduation on Wednesday without the drive in early morning traffic. We got to our hotel in Temecula Monday afternoon and then went to Old Town Temecula for dinner. We ate at Texas Lil's Mesquite Grill. The servings are gigantic and really tasteful. We really enjoyed the meal. We drove over to Eric & Shirley's and spent a family evening together. Tuesday morning we arrived at Ethan's school about 8:30 to watch the promotion ceremony. Lots of kids and lots of support from the parents and families. Many candy leis were made for Ethan by the family ... can you tell they became somewhat heavy???

After the ceremony, we went to the Pechanga Indian Resort Casino to blow a few hours and have lunch. We won enough to pay for lunch and leave with the same amount of money and a few extra dollars. No complaints!

After lunch we returned to Old Town Temecula to walk the blocks of shops and restaurants that we didn't have time for the prior day. It's a fun section to walk and take in all of the sites. The old bank has been turned into a Mexican Restaurant; this day there were several old cars parked outside the bank building for all to enjoy. We enjoyed a couple of hours strolling and shopping including the Thomas Kincaid Gallery.

The 10th is Evan's actual birthday, so family and friends met at Pat and Oscar's Restaurant for dinner and companionship. Evan's Birthday Party was to come Saturday the 14th. Larry enjoyed a great antipasto salad and there was pizza, pasta, bread, salads, and much more that were enjoyed by all!

And the new 3-year old Evan got a freshly baked and warm chocolate chip cookie with ice cream and chocolate syrup ... sugar is always good for Evan!!!

Wednesday morning brought Jordan's 8th grade graduation from middle school to high school. They did a great job getting through the ceremony with 350 graduates! Both Jordan and her BFF Megan graduated. More of those wonderful candy leis for the girls! Afterward beforefore heading to Lakewood, we all gathered at The Yellow Basket Restaurant for a meal and more fun!
