2014 - December 25th - Facey Family Christmas

Grandma & Papaw started Christmas day at Carrie, Ed, & Ruby's house at 6:30 AM to enjoy Ruby open her presents from Santa Clause. Before she started, Ruby showed us the violin that her Halmoni had given to her on Christmas Eve. She loves classical music and Daddy Ed can teach her, as he is an expert violin player who started at age six. Ruby has a two year jump on him ... watch out everyone!
And then the Santa presents were opened with glee ...
Ruby's Santa request was for Jack and Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas, and Santa delivered plus a few more presents too!!!!

Grandma & Papaw received a lovely 4th year remembrance photo book of Ruby 2014.

Then back home to do the final preparations for the family gathering.

Kendall and Jordan are going to see Wicked on January 6th at the Hollywood Pantages Theater with Grandma & Papaw. It was a special surprise to a dream of theirs and really showed in those faces when the packages were opened! Papaw got artsy-crafty making them special Wicked lockets for the evening and to remember for always.

Debby and Taelor joined us for our family dinner making 15 of our family. Another great job by Mary Anne roasting the two geese and also preparing a ham. Many side dishes completed the table followed by the traditional Red-White-Green layered ribbon salad. It isn't Christmas at the Facey's without geese and ribbon salad!!!

Family pictures wrapped up the day ... everyone had smiles ... and full tummies!
It was a fabulous day with such pleasure, joy and love that it simply can't be put into words or pictures. To see many more photos, check the entire album out at this link. There are some great ones there for you to see!

Everyone was so stuffed from all of Grandma's delicious and great selection of food that there was no room for dessert. No problem, everyone got to take home a cake just for themselves! Eric & Shirley sent these pictures of everyone enjoying the cakes when they got home and before going to bed after a wonderful day. I'd say they liked them! All of the cakes can be seen in their own photo album at this photo album link.

And to wrap it all up ... here are the Thirteen of us!!!
