2016 - March 27th - Easter Celebration

We enjoyed another fabulous Easter at Eric and Shirley's with the family. We all arrived around 4PM with our additions to the ham meal which they had prepared. As the Facey tradition, there was more food than needed! With the upcoming June Facey Family Disney vacation coming, we continued in that spirit with the Easter baskets.

Larry went on-line and found various Disney art to modify and personalize to make iron-on transfers to Tee-shirts. We decided rather than to go all the same that we would have a different color shirt for each of us with a different Disney character for each as well. The Christmas shirts were purchased from a crafter, so this was our first attempt to do iron-on's ourselves. The tricky part was using Microsoft Paint to modify the art and then the actual precise cutting out of each of the art pieces. But when all was said and done, we think they came out pretty good! So the whole family will have another day to dress correspondingly during the Disney Vacation. Think these will be worn at Epcot .... we'll see!

We couldn't leave the adults out, so shirts were made for all 13 of us!
Each of the kids also got a pair of Disney flip-flops to use at the Resort Pools and on-board the ship while cruising. The two little ones also received Disney sun glasses ... Cars' Lightning McQueen for Evan and Frozen's Elsa and Anna for Ruby.

As the kids dyed and decorated eggs on the front porch, the adults scattered the plastic candy-filled eggs around the back yard for the traditional Easter Egg Hunt ... fun was had by all!

Carrie, Ed and Ruby stayed for a few more hours and they played Family games and had a great time. A Very Happy Easter To All !!!
