2017 - March 29th - Ethan's Boy Scout Eagle Court of Honor

Ethan achieved his Eagle Scout rank in the Boy Scouts of America. We are all very proud of him. Papaw Larry was a Cub Scout, but never went into Boy Scouts. Dad Eric went through Boy Scouts to the rank of Life Scout but stopped three merit badges short of Eagle Scout. So Ethan is the first in our family to make this prestigious rank. A lot of hard work and dedication to get there but all of that will benefit him in many areas of life in all of the years to come. Well done Ethan! There were three boys in his troop that all achieved their Eagle Scout and worked on their separate Eagle Scout projects. The three young men all chose projects for a home for children with physical and mental challenges. Ethan's project was building play areas and equipment from PVC piping that allows for fun and learning. The Center was excited for being selected by these guys to received the various projects that they gave to them.

The Mom's did a fabulous job of decorating including making white chocolate and rock candies in red, white, and blue plus cookies, cup cakes, and delicious huge strawberries! The arts and crafts for the tables in the Eagle Scout mode were all fantastic, adding to the great ceremony of the Eagle Court of Honor.

And we must show some of those food goodies!
The Scouting displays were wonderful too ...
