The St. George Grandkids had a "Spring week-end" off from school Friday through Monday. They had their "Spring break week" two weeks prior. Everyone except Kendall and Jordan drove over on Thursday after Eric got off work. The two older girls flew in on Saturday night after Kendall's dance performance ended and Jordan finished work. Sunday we all gathered for our Easter celebration for a 3 PM dinner followed by the Easter Egg Hunt on the front lawn. The Grands recreated a photo from 2013 ... my, how they have grown!
This year, Taelor officially joined the family so we took a second picture including him!
The Easter Bunny left Easter Bags filled with goodies for all of the kids. Grandma and Papaw gave everyone individualized cards and some cash for spending on something fun. We also, as usual, had plenty of candy bowls filled to the brim. The grands all dyed eggs as well for the celebration.
Grandma outdid herself with a fabulous Easter dinner of two hams, au gratin potatoes, asparagus, rolls, boiled baby potatoes and fresh fruit salad. Needless to say, everyone thoroughly enjoyed this great feast! We buffet styled the meal and then ate on the patio with a "parents table" and a "cousins table". The weather was perfect to match the meal and a great time was had by all.
After dinner and before dessert, all of the cousins enjoyed the Easter Egg Hunt on the front lawn. There were lots of plastic eggs filled with great sweets and treats as well as wrapped candy scattered on the grass. All eight of the kids, no matter what age had a great time on the "hunt"!
Dessert time!!! We had an Easter Egg shaped chocolate and crème layered cake from the famous Juniors of New York City plus a fabulous Baskin-Robbins Chocolate Bunny Ice Cream Cake! Indulgence!!!!
It was time for some great family pictures!
