Today's adventure took us up to LA's LaCanada-Flintridge to visit the beautiful Descanso Gardens. This year, the Descanso planted 36,000 tulip bulbs. That was too great to miss! With the heavy rain season this year, the gardens were in full bloom! There are a ton of pictures that we will let speak for themselves and add very little dialog! Just enjoy the beautiful flowers!!!!

The Japanese Cherry Blossom Trees are full and fragrant!
Wonderful Irises and a magnitude of other rainbow of color flowers are at every step.
The lovely Japanese Gardens are full of beautiful Cherry Blossoms with streams and waterfalls added to the serenity of this special area of Descanso Gardens!
We were excited that the Lilac Grove was in full bloom. As Southern California does not get the frost or freeze needed for Lilacs to grow, this imitation "California Lilac" looks very similar to the real thing! We didn't get the fragrance that we experienced from our Ohio lilacs, but these are still very pretty and have a variety of colors.
On our way out we looked through the cute gift shop with unique items as well as plants to take home.
For a mid-afternoon lunch our choice today was to try The New York Deli in Torrance. We don't know how we have missed this one that has been here since 1985. With my love of Jewish Deli food, this was a true treasure to find. It will definitely be on our repeat list!
