Leaving Maui on March 12th, we set sail for 4 days at sea to go to our final port destination in Ensenada Mexico on March 18th.
We had pleasant waters and fun times on those 4 days at sea before arriving in Mexico. We got the shuttle bus to take us to the bus station in downtown Ensenada where the station is loaded with food, drink and gift stores. We decided to purchase the bus tickets to take us out to La Bufadora, the blowhole, area to shop around. At the bus station, this sign entices folks to stay for awhile which Fred & Pam were sure that if Freddy were here, he'd probably go no further!!!
We had a great tour guide that told us about all of the neighborhoods we passed through in Ensenada and the various sights on the roadside leading to La Bufadora.
Arriving at the La Bufadora, we departed to walk the shopping street down to where the La Bufadora (Ocean Blowhole) can be seen. Everyone enjoyed the walk there looking at the shops and mentally deciding which we would stop at on our walk back.

We watched the explosive water rush in to La Bufadora and the gigantic sprays shoot up for several occasions.

After watching the spray for awhile and taking in some of the street performers, we began our shopping excursion. We had a lot of fun going in the street shops and enjoying the haggling with the locals for better prices. We were told before coming out that here haggling was the mode of buying where in downtown Ensenada, the shops were regulated and had to sell at their marked prices ... no negotiating! Pam and Fred picked up several items at very reduced prices and learned the fine art of Mexico shopping!
Even though we didn't get anything to eat here, these seafood delights cooked in shells looked and smelled fabulous!
We simply had a wonderful time at La Bufadora and rode the bus back to the station to catch the shuttle to the port and re-entry to The Grand Princess. Our final pictures from this remarkable 15-day Hawaiian cruise with Mexico stop taken at La Bufadora.
All of the pictures taken here in the Ensenada port can be viewed at this photo album link.
This was a super fantastic trip that will never be forgotten. We had so much fun and have so many memories with sharing this experience with Fred & Pam. We thank them for inviting us and sharing everything we did.
