2017 - May 14th - Celebrating Mother's Day

We all gathered on Sunday afternoon at Ed, Carrie & Ruby's to celebrate Mother's Day. What a great time was had by all! We feasted on a wide selection of Chinese food dishes, a variety that satisfied everyone's palate! We enjoyed the fine weather on the patio as we ate and had lively conversations. We celebrated all three Moms ... Grandma, Carrie & Shirley ... Mother's Day is not complete without cards and gifts too. Grandma received an assortment of personal beauty supplies, a cord caddy case for all the electronics while traveling (will come in handy for the Alaska trip in three weeks!), and a Disney Mickey Teapot (which will get a lot of use with her love of tea!).

All of the cards and gifts were lovely. Evan made Grandma a special card and Kendall sent a card from Hawaii for her Grandma too even though she couldn't be here with all of us. Jordan made a lovely vase of roses and there was a beautiful mixed flower bouquet too.

Mikayla's Paper Rose for Grandma (it folds up making it a square box then pops open to this beautiful rose!) ... Mom with her kids ... Carrie & Eric ... Grandma and the Grands (with Kendall on iPhone!) ... Grandkids ... Three generation of girls ... Grandma, Carrie & Ruby ... The whole family walked down the block to Del Valle Park, or as we all call it, the Airplane Park, where we visited the memorial stone for Grandpa Rose and played on some of the fun equipment. Who cared that the age was for 12 and under to play on the equipment?!?!
