2017 - May 1st - Ethan Turns 14 and We Celebrate!!

Another year has passed for Ethan and he has now hit 14! On Saturday the 29th, we drove to Oceanside with Ruby to meet up with Eric, Shirley and the family for lunch. The parents had arranged for Ruby to accompany Evan and Ella on a trip to Lego Land for the day. So we met them in Oceanside for lunch and then brought Jordan, Mikayla and Ethan home with us to spend the night while Ruby spent the night with them in Murietta. Grandma and the three teenagers walked over to the mall and picked up some goodies on their stroll before we went over to The Fireside Grill for dinner. In the evening, we watched Harry Potter & The Goblet of Fire followed by LaLaLand. Sunday morning we went to church and then stopped at The Peking Wok for lunch. Auntie Carrie and Uncle Ed wanted to treat the teens to shakes at Creme & Sugar Coffee & Dessert Parlour in Anaheim Hills. It is a fun place with novelty and beauty built in! Sweet is the word for this delightful parlour!

The kids had shakes - Jordan, the Unicorn, Mikayla the Beauty and the Beast, Ethan, the Cookie Monster and even Auntie Carrie and Uncle Ed with the S'mores Shake. We settled for cake .... the Girl Scout Cookie Samoan and the Unicorn! Auntie Carrie bought a slice of Beauty & The Beast Cake to take to Ruby.

There are all kinds of other choices too including Unicorn Bark, ice creams, hot chocolates, coffees, other cakes and more! After pumping in all of that sugar high, we are off to Murietta for the birthday party. As always, plenty of food for everyone was prepared for the birthday dinner. When it was time for Ethan's cake, Kendall was Skyped in from Hawaii so she could be part of the big celebration. The cake and ice cream were wonderful and a good time was had by all.

Then with a big huff of wind, Ethan made his Birthday wish, the candles were blown out, the dessert was eaten, gifts opened and the end to another wonderful Birthday Celebration! The complete album is at this link.
