Driving to St. George to be with the family is always a pleasure! We left Friday morning the 21st to celebrate Mikayla's 19th Birthday and Ethan's High School Graduation with a return on the 26th. Carrie, Ed and Ruby also came leaving around noon on Friday and staying the weekend but having to return on Sunday due to work and school schedules. All 14 of us celebrated on Saturday as a total family fun time. Whether it was the children's park, shopping in the old historical district, looking through the vinyl at the record store, walking the gardens, visiting a unique book store, riding the mini train at the Thunder Junction park or the several other places we explored, and enjoying great food at the local restaurants, we all had a great time!
Mikayla's 19th birthday was on Monday the 24th. It was a day full of fun! We had dinner at Olive Garden, Mikayla's choice! She chose for us all to try our hands at "Phat Axe" when axes, tomahawks, sharp edged credit cards and star pointed weapons are hurled at the target wall! Highlighted pictures show some of the fun!

Then there was "The Smash Room" where there are hammers, crowbars and sledgehammers to "smash" glass bottles and jars. Let those frustrations out while the glass flies! The kids suited up in protective gear, helmets and face shields!

Ethan's in-person, 9AM graduation commenced on Tuesday morning, May 25th. The outdoors stadium bleachers filled up and this 2021 graduates lived up to their motto "Covid didn't stop us!" Through vaccinations and safe protocols this years class could safely have the ceremony with their family and friends.
The "man bun" disappeared for the day and was replaced by braids that Kendall managed for Ethan!
The tradition at Dixie High School is that each graduating senior steps through the giant D when their name is called to receive their diploma and become an official Dixie High Graduate! The field is set with balloon arches. This series of pictures show Ethan approaching the D, right after stepping through the D, walking the field to receive the diploma and then looking at us with his diploma in hand.

And there may have been a lei or two, or three, or more!!!!

Honoring those great folks who are always in our hearts - Grandpa and Grandma Tunvilai & Auntie Debbie

Tikie is part of the family too!

To finish the celebration day ... CAKE, of course!!!
