The wait is over! Now that our passes are once again open to the parks, we ventured out to see the new Galaxy's Edge Star Wars land in Disneyland. From the moment we entered the park throughout the entire day, we found that the park was not over-crowded. It really reminded us of what it was going to Disneyland several years ago. Throughout the park, the waiting times for the rides were only 15 to 30 minutes. No shoulder-to-shoulder crowds. A delightful fun-filled day to be there!
There are three entrances to Star Wars Galaxy's Edge. We entered on the walkway next to the Rivers of Americas and The Hungry Bear Restaurant. The Imagineers did a fabulous job transposing us into this new out-of-this-world experience. Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge spans more than 14 acres, making it the largest single-themed land in Disney Parks history. Galaxy’s Edge takes us to the planet Batuu, a destination along the galaxy’s Outer Rim on the frontier of Wild Space. Batuu is home to Black Spire Outpost, an infamous port for smugglers, traders and adventurers who wish to avoid any unnecessary entanglements with the First Order. From the trash cans to the unique Coca-Cola bottles, it is a whole new experience!
Coca Cola in these Droid bottles are only in Disney's Galaxy's Edge!
There are Starfighters and Star planes throughout the land.
We passed the entrance to the second ride of Galaxy's Edge, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, which will open the beginning of December.

There are quite a few places to get some food in Galaxy's Edge.
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge marks the first time a full-size, 100% complete Millennium Falcon has ever been built. The Millennium Falcon docked in the Black Spire Outpost Spaceport measures more than 100 feet long. At Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, we get to climb into the cockpit of “the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy” for our own Star Wars adventures.

As the line progresses, we pass Hondo Ohnaka who is looking for discreet flight crews to deliver a backlog of hard-to-find items to particular clientele. He expresses that no experience is necessary!
Another sight we take in before boarding the cockpit is the chess-type game played on the table in the Millennium Falcon main hold and lounge called Dejarik.

On our next visit we will activate the Play Disney Parks app which will transform into our Star Wars Datapad! From translating galactic languages and hacking into droids to unscrambling transmission and scanning objects for precious cargo, it’s an interactive adventure that will enhance our Star Wars story and guide us deeper and deeper into this all-new land!
