2020 - December 1st - Home Decorated for Christmas

This year of 2020 will forever be remembered as the year of the Covid-19 Pandemic. We decided to once again put up all of our Christmas decorations. Going forward, we'd like to cut-back with less, but who knows at this point? We may decide to do it all over again in the years to come. This blog entry will serve as La Casa Camerino's glory in decorating for the future to reflect upon!

Mary Anne always looks forward to getting some Broguiere's Old Fashion Egg Nog to start the season off in a festive way!
With the pandemic still in full force, we do a lot of socializing on the back patio where we can be social distanced and then remove our masks while being separated. As we are there quite a bit, we did some extra decorating there too. We had flags, plaques and even Rudolph to make everyone feel the holiday mood.
We had shepherd hooks with hanging Poinsettias and Mickey Mouse hanging lanterns by the back fence and our gift Poinsettia from last Christmas given from Kathy Patterson Legacy. Mary Anne proudly kept it going the whole year and it bloomed spectacularly once again this year for the entire month of December!
The back door entrance had another holiday flag and our Christmas wreath.
The front of the house has our white light arches on the porch and then lighting the Jade plants, gardens and outlining the metal cactus sculpture.
And the Disney Mickey flags welcome all to our home as you walk up the Santa and Snowman lit walk. Poinsettias cover the porch with the Mickey sign and all of the grandkids names suspended from it. Our front door wreath and stocking welcome all!
Entering our front door, our front living room is the home to our second tree.
In remembrance of my Mom, we always hang her stocking on her corner china cabinet.
Tables, nooks and crannies and it seems all spaces are decorated with many holiday treats to delight us and all who enter.
Ruby said "It isn't Christmas until I pull the carrot nose off and put it back on Frosty."
This officially starts the holiday here! In 1997 when we got the snowman, he came with a white nose. I thought it was wrong, so I made the orange carrot nose slip-cover!
The original ceramic tree that I bought for my Mom back in 1968 always finds a place of honor every Christmas season. And the Angel carolers are probably that age too!
The living room coffee table always has the skating rink from my sister Barb to our Mom in 1988. It's a favorite for every kid that comes. No matter who it is, they wind it up and watch the polar bear skate. Memories!
When Carrie was born in 1976, Mary Anne's Aunt Polly made these Raggedy Ann and Raggedy  Andy dolls for her. They make it out every Christmas too!
The kitchen and dining room get their fair share of holiday décor.
New this year is our Christmas pop-up card from Barb. It's so lovely that we will use for decoration in future years!
There are always red and green M&Ms in our little Rudolph during the holidays!
Our Waechtersbach Christmas Tree dinnerware is a focal point at our house!
This ball candle holder was bought back in 1974 from Mary Anne's sister Pam for a high school fund raiser. It wouldn't be Christmas without this gem!
The family room is where we spend the most time. Our main tree is here. The entire tree is Disney inspired including Mickey Mouse waving the lantern as the tree topper.

As I enjoyed these pictures (and tried to remember the layout of your house and where everything is), I could feel all the love and memories in these various pieces. And I learned about the Frosty nose cover up (grin). Thanks for sharing via your cyber open house. Hugs and love! - Barb
